Two friends, one small kitchen

East meets west

A pastry chef from Azerbaijan and a friend from the North East

Claire and Samira are friends from two different worlds. Samira is a pastry chef from Azerbaijan; Claire is from here, on the North Yorkshire and Durham border. They wanted to make something together, something luxurious and made by hand.

The idea came on a high-end shopping trip to London, and so they started making their own by hand: Medjool dates filled, dipped and finished in their kitchen, and packed in a box worth keeping.

Where every box is made

How we make them

Fill

Each Medjool date is stoned and filled by hand, one at a time.

Dip

Dipped in milk or white chocolate and left to set on the board.

Top

Nuts, honeycomb, sesame, rose petals or a tiny fondant flower.

Finish

A brush of gold or sparkle, then straight into the box.
