Our story
Two friends, one small kitchen
Stuffed Medjool dates, made by hand on the North Yorkshire and Durham border.

East meets west
A pastry chef from Azerbaijan and a friend from the North East
Claire and Samira are friends from two different worlds. Samira is a pastry chef from Azerbaijan; Claire is from here, on the North Yorkshire and Durham border. They wanted to make something together, something luxurious and made by hand.
The idea came on a trip to Harrods, when Claire saw what a box of dates cost. Samira had the skill and Claire loved dates, so they started making their own: Medjool dates filled, dipped and finished in their kitchen, and packed in a box worth keeping.
“We believe luxury isn’t about excess. It’s about care.”
From the card in every box
The two of us
Samira and Claire

Samira
Pastry chef, from Azerbaijan. The fillings, the chocolate work and the finishing touches start with her.

Claire
From the North East. Not a baker, she says, but she knows a good thing when she tastes one.
The kitchen
Where every box is made
A small kitchen with a teal wall, a steel counter and our logo looking down on everything.

How we make them

Fill
Each Medjool date is stoned and filled by hand, one at a time.

Dip
Dipped in milk or white chocolate and left to set on the board.

Top
Nuts, honeycomb, sesame, rose petals or a tiny fondant flower.

Finish
A brush of gold or sparkle, then straight into the box.
What we stand by
